Tenure-Stream Full Time Periodontist
The Faculty of Dentistry, Dalhousie University, is seeking application for a full-time, probationary tenure-track or tenure-track Periodontist at the rank of assistant or associate professor.
Preference will be given to those candidates with didactic and clinical teaching experience at the undergraduate and graduate levels in periodontics. Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with the successful candidate’s qualifications, experience and achievements.
Responsibilities will include didactic, pre-clinical, and clinical teaching in all aspects of Periodontics in the Faculty’s undergraduate (Dentistry and Dental Hygiene) and postgraduate programs, including the Master’s in Periodontics. Additional expectations include active participation in research and scholarly activity, Faculty committees and other administrative duties.
Successful applicants must be eligible for licensure through the Provincial Dental Board of Nova Scotia and have successfully completed the National Dental Specialty Exam in Periodontics administered by the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. Private practice privilege is integrated with this appointment; however, the Provincial Dental Board of Nova Scotia does not offer academic licensure.
