Orthodontics - Faculty Position
College of Dentistry
The College of Dentistry invites applications from qualified individuals for a part time (0.60 FTE) Limited Term (5 years) out of scope faculty position in Orthodontics. The successful candidate will be required to deliver didactic, pre-clinical and clinical teaching in the College’s Orthodontics program.
We seek candidates who have completed graduate specialty training in Orthodontics with a minimum 10 years of experience in a private practice setting. Candidates must possess effective written, verbal and interpersonal skills and have the capacity to embrace the latest evidence-based developments in Orthodontics technologies. Preference will be given to candidates who have passed the National Dental Specialty Examination (NDSE) in Orthodontics administered by the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and/ or can be licensed by the College of Dental Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CDSS).
The salary bands are: Assistant Professor $93,293 - $112,109; Associate Professor $112,109 – $130,925; Full Professor $130,925 - $152,877. Independent of rank, a starting salary above the standard salary bands is possible in rare and exceptional circumstances pursuant to Article 188.8.131.52 of the 2014-2017 USFA Collective Agreement (see: http://www.usaskfaculty.ca/?attachment_id=3298). This position includes a comprehensive benefits package which includes a dental, health and extended vision care plan; pension plan, life insurance (compulsory and voluntary), academic long term disability, sick leave, travel insurance, death benefits, an employee assistance program, a professional expense allowance and a flexible health and wellness spending program.
