Dental Public Health - Faculty position
College of Dentistry
The College of Dentistry invites applications from qualified individuals for a full time tenure-track faculty position in Dental Public Health. The College is seeking an experienced dental public health administrator/researcher who possesses a DMD, DDS, BDS or equivalent and post-graduate training at the Masters or PhD level or equivalent.
The successful candidate will be expected to: envision, plan, implement and administer a number of dental public health clinics serving Indigenous and other priority populations in the province of Saskatchewan, actively pursue community-engaged research targeting Indigenous populations, and engage in teaching activities associated with the undergraduate education program. Opportunity to engage in private practice is also available for licensed individuals.
A degree in public/population health, experience working with a public health agency, and experience with Indigenous communities will be assets. Duties include establishing/overseeing a network of dental public health clinics, research, and teaching at the undergraduate level. Travel to northern and remote communities will be required.

The salary bands are: Assistant Professor $93,293 - $112,109; Associate Professor $112,109 – $130,925; Full Professor $130,925 - $152,877. Independent of rank, a starting salary above the standard salary bands is possible in rare and exceptional circumstances pursuant to Article 22.214.171.124 of the 2014-2017 USFA Collective Agreement (see: http://www.usaskfaculty.ca/?attachment_id=3298). This position includes a comprehensive benefits package which includes a dental, health and extended vision care plan; pension plan, life insurance (compulsory and voluntary), academic long term disability, sick leave, travel insurance, death benefits, an employee assistance program, a professional expense allowance and a flexible health and wellness spending program.
