CDA has been awarded the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) Corporate Commitment Award for 2012, in recognition of its outstanding contribution to Canadian standardization. The award will be presented October 12 in Ottawa as part of SCC's World Standards Day celebrations.
Since 2004, CDA has hosted the secretariat of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Technical Committee (TC) 106. ISO/TC 106 contributes significantly to the practice of dentistry by developing standards for terms and definitions; performance, safety and specification requirements of dental products; and clinically relevant laboratory test methods.
ISO/TC106 activities were previously featured in JCDA in recognition of the committee's 50th anniversary.
