Dr. Christine Quinn, president of the American Society of Dentist Anesthesiologists, presents Dr. Daniel Haas of the University of Toronto with the 2010 Leonard Monheim Distinguished Service Award.
Dr. Daniel Haas of the University of Toronto's faculty of dentistry was honoured as the 2010 recipient of the American Society of Dentist Anesthesiologists (ASDA) Leonard Monheim Distinguished Service Award.
Dr. Haas, a JCDA editorial consultant, is the first Canadian to receive this ASDA award, which is presented annually to recognize a dentist who has made outstanding contributions to the discipline of anesthesiology, benefitting the dental profession.
Dr. Leonard Monheim was a pioneer in dental anesthesiology and established the first autonomous department of anesthesiology within a dental school at the University of Pittsburgh.
