Canadian Association of Orthodontists Elects President

Dr. Howard Steiman of Ajax, Ontario, was elected president of the Canadian Association of Orthodontists (CAO) for 2010–11 at the CAO’s annual general meeting in Whistler, British Columbia.

Dr. Steiman obtained both his DDS degree (1988) and his orthodontic specialty diploma (1991) from the University of Toronto. Dr. Steiman has been a clinical instructor with the U of T undergraduate orthodontic department for almost 20 years. A past-president of the Ontario Association of Orthodontists (OAO), Dr. Steiman received a Distinguished Service Award from the OAO in 2005.

At the CAO annual general meeting, Dr. Ritchie Mah of Vancouver was elected as CAO president-elect.
